This paper,grounded in the muscle-bone balance theory in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),systematically elaborates on the comprehensive treatment protocol for upper crossed syndrome(UCS)using acupunc-ture with resistance training,from the perspectives of theoretical origins,pathological mechanisms,treatment princi-ples,and operational methods.The treatment takes"emphasis on both sinews and bones,with priority given to the sinews",attaches importance to"sinew-bone balance,with qi and blood as the foundation",advocates"TCM and western medicine integration,strengthening muscles with resistance training",and finally achieves the goal of"soft sinews and aligned bones,with sinew-bone balance".Acupuncture treatment focuses on relieving muscle tension,unblocking channels and collaterals,and harmonizing qi and blood,while resistance trai-ning emphasizes strengthen-ing weak muscle groups,rebuilding mechanical balance,and restoring normal movement patterns.Through their synergistic effects,these two methods jointly achieve the therapeutic goal of regulating sinews and rectifying bones,thereby offering an approach for the clinical treatment of UCS.
