The holistic view of"Body-Qi-Spirit"is a fundamental concept in traditional Chinese medicine for understanding the organism.These three aspects are interconnected and mutually influential.Therefore,treating allergic rhinitis in children from the perspective of"Body-Qi-Spirit,"combined with the characteristics of pediatric allergic rhinitis and the physiological and pathological features of childhood diseases,should focus on regulating the body,regulating Qi,and regulating the spirit.The treatment is based on regulating the body,takes regulating"Qi"as the core,and regards regulating the spirit as the key.The specific treatment principles involve,during the acute phase,dispelling wind and dissipating cold,unblocking the nasal orifices,warming the lungs and resolving fluid retention,combined with drugs that descend Qi,calm panting,resolve phlegm,and stop coughing,so as to ventilate the lungs,dispel phlegm,and relieve cough and asthma.During the remis-sion phase,treatment focuses on benefiting the lungs and strengthening the spleen,promoting digestion and re-solving accumulation,to restore the child's spleen and stomach function.Finally,to prevent further transmis-sion and transformation of the disease,the main approach is to calm the spirit,stabilize mentality,and regu-late emotions.Effectively linking the"Body,Qi,and Spirit"in treatment can achieve harmony between the body and spirit,providing new ideas for the treatment of allergic rhinitis in children.
