The Period of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression marked the peak stage of Lyu Fengzi's figure painting creation.Due to the dramatic changes in subject matter,connotation,brushwork and form,Lyu Fengzi's figure painting formed a style of"blending the ancient and the modern"and"highly ancient and unique".At the theoretical level,he explored the innovative philosophy of"Chinese learning as the essence,shaping forms with intention,depicting spirit with form,and constantly changing rules".His unique painting style and painting philosophy had a significant impact on the development of Chinese painting in the first half of the 20th century.
