烤烟新品种粤烟211的选育及特征特性OA

Yueyan 211(NX211)is a new flue-cured tobacco variety bred with the objectives of low-temperature tolerance,resistance to premature flowering,and a distinctive burnt-sweet and mellow-sweet flavor style.It was developed by crossing MS Yueyan 98 as the female parent with the self-bred line NX01-1(a stabilized hybrid progeny of Yueyan 98×81-26)as the male parent.Results from multi-year field trials indicate that Yueyan 211 has stable genetic traits,vigorous growth,a cylindrical plant type,and oblong leaves.Its overall economic traits and cured-leaf appearance quality are slightly superior to those of K326 and comparable to those of Yunyan 87.Sensory quality evaluation in two-year regional trials showed that Yueyan 211 was slightly inferior to K326 and Yunyan 87,whereas industrial sensory evaluation demonstrated superior performance compared with both control varieties.Yueyan 211 exhibits moderate resistance to root-knot nematode and moderate susceptibility to bacterial wilt,black shank,brown spot,cucumber mosaic virus(CMV),and potato virus Y(PVY),while being susceptible to tobacco mosaic virus(TMV).The variety shows strong stress resistance,particularly tolerance to low temperatures and resistance to premature flowering.Therefore,Yueyan 211 is suitable for cultivation in tobacco-growing regions of Guangdong where low-temperature-induced early flowering frequently occurs after transplanting.
