A longitudinal impact of bullying victimization on body image among middle school students

目的:探讨欺凌受害对初中生身体意象的影响,并检验公正世界信念和亲子亲合在其中的作用.方法:选取600 名初中生,使用特拉华欺凌受害量表(学生卷)(DBVS-S)、公正世界信念量表(BJW)、亲子亲合量表(PCCS)和身体意象状态量表(BISS)进行间隔 6 个月的 3 次测量(T1、T2 和T3),通过 PROCESS 宏程序构建有调节的中介模型.结果:T1 DBVS-S 总分与 T3 BISS 得分负关联(β=-0.55,P<0.001);T2 BJW总分在T1 DBVS-S 总分与T3 BISS 得分间起部分中介作用(β=-0.11,P<0.01),中介效应为-0.11(95%CI:-0.21~-0.04),占总效应的 19.9%;T2 PCCS 总分调节 T1 DB-VS-S 总分对 T2 BJW总分的影响(β=-0.47,P<0.01),进一步分析显示,在 T2 PCCS 总分较高组中,T1 DBVS-S 总分负向预测 T2 BJW总分(β=-0.65,P<0.001).结论:欺凌受害通过削弱公正世界信念加剧初中生身体意象问题,亲子亲合在其中起调节作用,且在亲子亲合水平较高时作用更显著.

Objective:To examine the longitudinal impact of bullying victimization on body image among middle school students,and to explore the mediating roles of belief in a just world and the moderating role parent-child cohesion in this process.Methods:A total of 600 junior high school students were assessed at three time points(T1,T2,and T3)with a 6-month interval using the Delaware Bullying Victimization Scale-Student Version(DBVS-S),Belief in a Just World Scale(BJW),Parent-Child Closeness Scale(PCCS),and Body Image States Scale(BISS).A moderated mediation model was tested using the PROCESS macro.Results:The T1 DBVS-S total scores were negatively associated with the T3 BISS scores(β=-0.55,P<0.001).The T2 BJW total scores par-tially mediated the relationship between the scores of T1 DBVS-S and T3 BISS(β=-0.11,P<0.01),with an in-direct effect of-0.11(95%CI:-0.21--0.04),accounting for 19.9%of the total effect.The T2 PCCS total scores moderated the effect of T1 DBVS-S scores on T2 BJW scores(β=-0.47,P<0.01).Further analysis showed that,in the high PCCS group,the T1 DBVS-S scores negatively predicted the T2 BJW scores(β=-0.65,P<0.001).Conclusion:Bullying victimization may increasebody image problems among middle school students by weakening their belief in a just world.Parent-child cohesion moderatesthe this pathway,with stronger negative effects observed at higher levels of cohesion.
