Factors associated with school reentry assessment outcomes among students with mental disorders in Beijing
Objective:To examine factors associated with school reentry assessment outcomes among students with mental disorders in Beijing, and provide evidence for improving reentry support. Methods:Data from 1 752 students with mental disorders who underwent school reentry assessment at Beijing Anding Hospital(2021-2023)were analyzed.Variables were selected using elastic net regression and further examined using multivariate logistic regression.Stratified analyses by gender and education were conducted.Result:Among the 1 752 students,269(15.4%)did not pass the school reentry assessment.Multivariate analysis showed that older age(OR=1.09,95%CI:1.04-1.15),diagnosis of anxiety disorder(OR=1.94,95%CI:1.19-3.20),higher maternal education level(OR=1.77,95%CI:1.20-2.65),and higher social support scores(OR=1.04,95%CI:1.02-1.06)were pos-itively associated with passing the assessment, whereas irregular medication use was negatively associated(OR=0.58,95%CI:0.35-0.97).Social support was positively associated with reentry outcomes across all subgroups. Conclusion:Age,social support, medication adherence, and maternal education level are key factors as-sociated with school reentry assessment outcomes among students with mental disorders.
