云南省西双版纳州一起牛布鲁氏菌病的紧急流行病学调查OA

In October 2024,an outbreak of bovine brucellosis was reported on a beef cattle fattening farm of company A in Xishuangbanna Prefecture,Yunnan Province.In order to trace the source,determine possible scope of spread,and thereby promptly control potential transmission of the disease by effective measures,an emergency epidemiological investigation was immediately initiated by animal disease control agencies at both prefectural and county levels through on-site visits and laboratory testing.The investigation revealed that the outbreak was severe on the farm,with a total of 96 confirmed cases and a positivity rate of 13.52%(96/710),mainly caused by introduction of infected cattle from high-risk areas within the country,and spread within the farm due to inadequate implementation of on-site biosecurity measures,delayed detection and response.In conclusion,such outbreak should be prevented through improving awareness campaigns for practitioners about brucellosis prevention and control,enforcing quarantine and isolation systems for animals introduced to farms,increasing screening and monitoring of the disease and standardizing all introduction of animals.
