Visual analysis of research hotspots in immunotherapy for esophageal cancer based on bibliometric methods

目的 对近10 年食管癌免疫治疗领域的研究现状、发展趋势及热点主题进行可视化分析,帮助研究者系统梳理该领域的研究动态.方法 检索 Web of Science 核心合集2014 年1 月至2024 年10 月发表的食管癌免疫治疗相关文献,运用 VOSviewer 1.6.17 和 CiteSpace 6.2.R3 软件,对国家、作者、机构、期刊、引用情况及关键词进行可视化分析,识别研究热点与演进趋势.结果 共纳入836 篇文献,年发文量呈持续增长态势.发文量最多的作者为 PIESSEN G;发文量前3 的国家为中国、美国和法国;主要研究机构包括郑州大学、同济大学和里尔大学.被引频次前3的期刊为 Clinical Cancer Research、Frontions in Immunology 和 International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics;被引频次最高的文献为 WANG X 等发表的"PD-L1 expression in human cancers and its association with clinical outcomes".高频关键词包括食管鳞癌、生存、肿瘤微环境、临床试验等.研究热点集中于免疫治疗联合放化疗的综合疗效、相关临床试验及肿瘤微环境机制.结论 当前食管癌免疫治疗的研究趋势聚焦于提升疗效的路径探索、联合治疗方案优化,以及肿瘤微环境与免疫治疗之间的相互作用机制.

Objective To conduct a visualization analysis of the research status,development trends,and hot topics in the field of esophageal cancer immunotherapy over the past decade,aiming to help researchers systematically understand research dynamics in this field.Methods We retrieved relevant publications on esophageal cancer immunotherapy from the Web of Science Core Collection published between January 2014 and October 2024.Using VOSviewer 1.6.17 and CiteSpace 6.2.R3,we performed visualization analysis of countries,authors,institutions,journals,citations,and keywords to identify research hotspots and evolutionary trends.Results A total of 836 articles were included,showing a continuous growth in annual publications.The most prolific author was PIESSEN G;the top three countries by publication volume were China,the United States,and France;key research institutions included Zhengzhou University,Tongji University,and Université de Lille.The top three journals by citation frequency were Clinical Cancer Research,Frontiers in Immunology,and International Journal of Radiation Oncology Biology Physics;the most cited article was"PD-L1 expression in human cancers and its association with clinical outcomes"by WANG X et al.High-frequency keywords included esophageal squamous cell carcinoma,survival,tumor microenvironment,and clinical trials.Research hotspots focused on the comprehensive efficacy of immunotherapy combined with radiochemotherapy,related clinical trials,and mechanisms of the tumor microenvironment.Conclusion Current research trends in esophageal cancer immunotherapy focus on exploring pathways to enhance efficacy,optimizing combination treatment regimens,and investigating the interaction mechanisms between the tumor microenvironment and immunotherapy.
