美国"发展融合研究"项目及其对中国交叉科学研究资助的启示OACHSSCD
U.S."Growing Convergence Research"and Implications for Interdisciplinary Sciences Funding in China
[目的/意义]在中国积极推进交叉科学与创新工作的背景下,关于交叉科学研究的培育路径仍缺乏经验借鉴和深入理解.该研究通过系统调查美国国家科学基金会(NSF)资助的"发展融合研究"项目,为中国相关领域的研究与资助提供参考借鉴.[方法/过程]该研究以NSF"发展融合研究"项目所资助的83个课题及其科研人员和科研产出为对象,从科研年龄、跨学科性等维度进行系统的测度和调查.[结果/结论]研究结果证明,"发展融合研究"项目所资助的课题在团队成员、项目产出方面呈现出明显的跨学科特性,并且这些课题都高度重视青年科研人员的参与和培养.
[Purpose/Significance]China is actively promoting interdisciplinary research and innovation.However,there is a lack of in-depth understanding and replicable experiences regarding the mechanisms,systems,and development paths of interdisciplinary research.This study investigates the U.S.National Science Foundation(NSF)"Growing Conver-gence Research"program to provide references for research and funding in China's interdisciplinary science field and to support decision-making by science and technology management departments.[Method/Process]This study examined the projects,researchers,and scientific outputs funded by the NSF"Growing Convergence Research"program.This study focused on 83 projects'researchers and scientific achievements,defining the career stages of researchers from two dimen-sions:scientific age and interdisciplinarity,and setting a threshold for significant interdisciplinarity.The study statisti-cally analyzed and evaluated the scientific age distribution of project members and the interdisciplinarity of the research teams and projects.[Result/Conclusion]The research results indicate that the"Growing Convergence Research"program places a high emphasis on the participation and cultivation of young researchers.Additionally,it exhibits strong interdisci-plinary characteristics in team composition and project outputs.
