心理资本在头颈癌患者身体意象障碍和社交回避及苦恼间的中介效应OA

Objective To explore the mediating role of psychological capital between body image disturbance and social avoidance and distress in patients with head and neck cancer.Methods Convenience sampling was used to select 304 patients with head and neck cancer from a tertiary grade-A hospital in Sichuan Province(from May to November 2024).The patients were surveyed using the General Information Questionnaires,the Psychological Capital Questionnaire for Cancer Patients,Body Image Scale,and Social Avoidance and Distress Scale.Results The scores of psychological capital,body image and social avoidance and distress were 85.57±18.71,13.58±8.05,and 11.50±7.40,respectively.Body image disturbance was positively correlated with social avoidance and distress(r=0.847,P<0.01),while psychological capital was negatively correlated with both body image disturbance and social avoidance and distress(r=-0.762,-0.749;P<0.01).Psychological capital played a partially mediating role between body image disturbance and social avoid-ance and distress,with a mediation effect of 0.164(95%CI:0.101-0.235),accounting for 21.81%of the total effect.Conclusion Psy-chological capital serves as a partial mediator between body image disturbance and social avoidance and distress in patients with head and neck cancer.Healthcare providers should focus on enhancing patients'psychological capital to alleviate body image disturbance,thereby reducing their levels of social avoidance and distress.
