Delayed medical treatment for diabetes is a key issue affecting patients'health management.The clarification of its conceptual connotation is of great significance for reducing the delay rate and optimizing clinical intervention.This study systematically retrieved literature related to delayed medical treatment for diabetes from CNKI,Wanfang Database,VIP,PubMed and Web of Science,with the retrieval period from the establishment of the databases to June 29,2024.It used Walker and Avant concept analysis method and included a total number of 61 articles.Delayed medical treatment for diabetes has three defining attributes:the lag in symptom identification and assessment,the passivity and delay in medical treatment decision,and the accumulation of health risks.Antecedent variables include patient and family factors,medical service factors and disease factors.Consequences include disease progression in patients and the increased medical burden on families and society.
