石灰水应用于历史建筑外墙保护的技术可行性研究OACSSCI
Technical Feasibility of Limewash for the Conservation of the External Walls of Historic Buildings:Exemplified by Fortaleza do Monte in Macao
作为澳门历史城区的重要历史建筑之一,大炮台三面夯土外墙均留有石灰水遗存,但其作为保护材料应用于风化的批荡层(即抹灰层)和夯土面层的技术可行性仍存疑,部分原因在于其技术优势尚未得到充分论证.研究通过实验评估石灰水对风化石灰批荡和土坯砖表面的保护效果发现:石灰水可有效渗入并填充石灰批荡表面的微裂纹和空隙,降低土坯砖表面的吸水速率,且在水的侵蚀下仍保持稳定;对经石灰水处理与否的样品表面的主动式红外热成像分析结果显示,石灰水可有效防止风化石灰批荡层和土坯砖表面因吸热过快而发生热变形.现场试验显示,在亚热带海洋性气候条件下,石灰水涂层的耐久性至少可维持四年.综上,石灰水可作为风化石灰批荡层和夯土面层的保护材料.
Fortaleza do Monte(Mount For-tress),one of the important historic buildings in the Historic Centre of Macao,retains limewash residues on three sides of its rammed earth exte-rior walls.However,the technical feasibility of using limewash as a protective material for the weathered plaster layer and the rammed earthen surface layer remains uncertain,partly because its technical advantages have yet to be fully demonstrated.This study evaluates the protec-tive effects of limewash on the surfaces of lime plaster and adobe bricks through experiments.It finds that limewash can effectively penetrate and fill microcracks and void on the weathered lime plaster surface,reducing the water absorption rate of the adobe brick surface and maintaining stability under water erosion.The active infrared thermographic analysis of sample surfaces with and without limewash treatment shows that limewash can effectively prevent rapid heat ab-sorption of the weathered lime plaster layer and adobe brick surface,thus preventing thermal deformation.On-site tests further indicates that under subtropical maritime climate conditions,the limewash coating can last for at least four years.The findings proves that limewash can serve as a protective material for weathered lime plaster layer and rammed earth surface layer.
