Research on the Impact of Digital Finance on Carbon Emissions:An Analysis of Mediating Effects Based on Heterogeneous Human Capital
"双碳"目标下,如何促进节能降碳成为当前中国亟须解决的重大问题,数字金融作为推动中国经济高质量发展的重要引擎,对促进碳减排、实现"双碳"目标具有重要意义.鉴于此,以我国2013-2023年30个省份面板数据研究数字金融对碳排放的影响并探究其作用机制.研究表明数字金融与碳排放呈现显著的倒"U"型非线性关系,该结果通过一系列稳健性检验;机制检验说明,异质性人力资本具有显著的中介效应,数字金融可以通过影响健康人力资本和教育人力资本对碳排放产生抑制作用;异质性分析表明,数字金融对碳排放的影响在不同维度及产业结构水平上存在异质性;进一步研究分析发现,数字金融的碳减排效应会受不同门槛值下创新能力及环境规制的影响.
Under the Dual Carbon Goals,how to promote energy conservation and carbon reduction has become a major issue that China urgently needs to solve.As an important engine for promoting high-quality economic development in China,digital finance plays a significant role in promoting carbon reduction and achieving the Dual Carbon Goals.In view of this,this paper studies the impact of digital finance on carbon emissions and explores its mechanism using panel data from 30 provinces in China from 2013 to 2023.The research shows that there is a significant inverted U-shaped nonlinear relationship between digital finance and carbon emissions,and this conclusion remains valid after a series of robustness tests.The mechanism test indicates that heterogeneous human capital has a significant mediating effect,and digital finance can inhibit carbon emissions by influencing health human capital and educational human capital.The heterogeneity analysis shows that the impact of digital finance on carbon emissions varies across different dimensions and industrial structure levels.Further research and analysis reveal that the carbon reduction effect of digital finance is affected by innovation capabilities and environmental regulations under different threshold values.
