This study conducted an in-depth exploration of the academic thoughts of HUANG Jichuan,a renowned expert in proctology of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),and the current status of their inheritance in Luzhou,Sichuan Province through a systematic search of databases such as China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),Wanfang,and VIP,as well as local literature,and combined with field research.Research indicated that HUANG Jichuan's exploration into the nature of diseases,his"three-stage syndrome differentiation system for whole-local analysis,"and his"integrated internal-external treatment theory"held significant guiding value for modern anorectal diagnosis and treatment.The efficacy of his characteristic therapeutic methods was significantly enhanced through modernized modifications.In the Luzhou region,the establishment of a"clinical-scientific-educational-cultural"quaternity inheritance model fostered a complete four-generation lineage transmission.Furthermore,innovative research was conducted on the inheritance and improvement of TCM formulas and the refinement of therapy of cutting with thread ligation.Research suggested that the dynamic inheritance of HUANG Jichuan's academic system not only provided a model for the protection of TCM schools but also promoted the development of the discipline through technological innovation.In the future,it will be necessary to further strengthen theoretical interpretation,improve inheritance mechanisms,and promote the modernization transformation of traditional medicine.
