A New Process for the Synthesis of Methyl Ethyl Carbonate and Diethyl Carbonate via Transesterification

以碳酸二甲酯和乙酸乙酯为原料,甲醇钠甲醇溶液为催化剂,常温常压下进行酯酯交换合成碳酸甲乙酯和碳酸二乙酯.原料碳酸二甲酯的转化率可达65%左右,滤去催化剂后,清液经精馏分离可得电池级的产品.未反应的原料可实现循环应用,副产物醋酸甲酯也是一种通用的有机溶剂,原料利用率100%.与现有的以碳酸二甲酯和乙醇为原料的酯醇交换法相比,酯酯交换新工艺显著缩短了酯交换的生产时长,避免了催化剂的转化物在设备器壁的沉淀结垢,并解决了酯醇交换过程中由于产物共沸引起的产品分离提纯难的问题,可望以此新工艺替代现行的酯醇交换的旧工艺.

Methyl ethyl carbonate and diethyl carbonate were synthesized by ester-ester exchange using dimethyl carbonate and ethyl acetate as raw materials,methanol solution of sodium methoxide as catalyst,at room temperature and pressure.The conversion rate of raw material dimethyl carbonate can reach about 65%.After filtering out the catalyst,the clear liquid can be separated by distillation to obtain battery grade products.Unreacted raw materials are recycled,and the by-product methyl acetate is also a common organic solvent.The utilization rate of raw materials is 100%.Compared with the existing ester-alcohol exchange method using dimethyl carbonate and ethanol as raw materials,it shortens the reaction time of ester exchange significantly,prevents the precipitation and scaling on the equipment wall by the catalyst conversion products,and solves the problem of difficult product separation and purification caused by product azeotrope in the ester-alcohol exchange process.It is expected that this new process can replace the old process of the current ester-alcohol exchange.
