A Study of the Association Between Microbial Composition Analysis of Snow Leopard Feces and Host Health

为深入了解西藏雪豹肠道微生物组成情况,收集了1例拉萨野生动物园圈养雪豹的粪便样本,利用16S rDNA基因测序技术对其肠道微生物群落进行分析.共计获得125 958条高质量序列,样本的平均有效组合序列为109 270条.在门水平上,雪豹肠道微生物中占据主导地位的是厚壁菌门,其次是拟杆菌门.在属水平上,食甲硫氨酸嗜胃杆菌是雪豹肠道微生物中的优势菌群.在Alpha多样性指数中雪豹Chao1指数为1 209.84;ACE指数为1 327.63;Shannon指数为4.57;Simpson指数为0.91,表明微生物群落的多样性和均匀性较高.对雪豹肠道微生物菌群功能预测分析表明,这些微生物主要参与碳水化合物、氨基酸、萜类、聚酮类、辅因子和维生素的代谢,这些代谢过程对于支持宿主的健康至关重要.通过对雪豹粪便微生物群落的深入分析,本研究为评估雪豹的健康状态及其栖息地的生态系统提供了有力的理论支持,这不仅有助于了解雪豹在自然环境中的生理状态,也为制定保护雪豹的措施提供了依据.

In order to further understand the health status of snow leopards,one fecal sample was collected from a captive snow leopard(Panthera uncia)at Lasa Wildlife Park,and their intestinal microbial communities were analyzed in detail by 16S rRNA gene sequencing technology.A total of 125 958 high-quality sequences were obtained,and the average effective combination sequence of the sample was 109270.At the phylum level,the dominant intestinal microbiota of snow leopards was Firmicutes,followed by Bacteroidota.At the genus level,Peptoniphilus_methioninivorax was the dominant microbiota in the snow leopard.Among the alpha diversity indexes,the Chao1 index of snow leopard was 1 209.84,the ACE index was 1 327.63,the Shannon index was 4.57,and the Simpson index was 0.91,indicating that the diversity and uniformity of microbial communities were high.Predictive analysis of intestinal microbiota function in snow leopards showed that:these microorganisms were mainly involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates,amino acids,terpenoids,polyketides,cofactors and vitamins,which were essential for supporting the health of the host.Through in-depth analysis of the fecal microbial community of snow leopards,the study provides a strong theoretical support for assessing the health status of snow leopards and the ecosystem of their habitats.This not only helps to understand the physiological state of snow leopards in the natural environment,but also provides a scientific basis for the formulation of its protection measures.
