核测井是油气勘探的核心技术,自然伽马能谱测量对探测器的能量分辨率、探测效率等指标要求严苛,为明确溴化镧 LaBr3(Ce)与碘化钠 NaI(Tl)探测器在自然伽马测量中的性能差异,为核测井探测器的选型与应用提供实验依据,开展本研究.首先对比两种探测器的性能参数,然后通过实验对比两种晶体探测器在能量线性、分辨率、探测效率等性能上的差别,并对比在自然伽马能谱测量时的响应差异.实验结果显示,LaBr3 和NaI 两者在常温下的能量线性差别不大,但前者探测效率约是后者的1.58倍,且能量分辨率远高于后者,可是LaBr3 探测器容易受到内部本底伽马射线的影响,尤其是影响 Th 核素的高能峰的测量,这对自然伽马能谱的分析不利.经对比分析认为,碘化钠 NaI(Tl)探测器无本底干扰、制备工艺成熟、应用技术完善,是当前核测井领域的主流选择,而溴化镧 LaBr3(Ce)探测器的大规模工程应用仍需进一步研究与优化.

Nuclear logging is a core technology for oil and gas exploration,and natural gamma-ray spectrum measurement has strict requirements on detector indicators such as energy resolution and detection efficiency.This study was conducted to clarify the performance difference between LaBr3(Ce)and NaI(Tl)detectors in natural gamma measurement,and to provide experimental basis for the selection and application of nuclear logging detectors.Firstly,the performance parameters of two detectors were compared.Then through experiments,the performance difference between two crystal detectors in energy linearity,resolution,detection efficiency,and also their response differences during natural gamma-ray spectrum measurements were compared.The experimental results show that the difference of LaBr3 and NaI in energy linearity under normal temperature conditions is not significant.However,the former has a detection efficiency approximately 1.58 times that of the latter,and its energy resolution is much higher.However,LaBr3 detector is susceptible to the influence of internal background gamma rays,especially affecting the measurement of high-energy peaks for Th isotopes,which is unfavorable for the analysis of natural gamma-ray spectra.Through comparative analysis,it is concluded that NaI(Tl)detector has no background interference,mature preparation process and perfect application technology,and is still the mainstream choice in current nuclear logging field,while the large-scale engineering application of LaBr3(Ce)detector needs further technical research and optimization.
