Towards resilient power systems:A review of wildfire mitigation strategiesOA

中文摘要

The increasing frequency of wildfireshas posed significantchallenges to power system supply reliability and security, especially in wildfire-prone regions like Australia.A brief review of wildfiremitigation strategies in power systems is presented, including wildfirerisk identificationand infrastructure planning at the planning stage,as well as wildfireprediction and real-time operational response at the operational stage. The wildfire response strategies adopted by twelve representative Australian power companies(including both transmission and distribution network service providers)are next analyzed to highlight the progress made in the industry. Then, related challenges are identifiedand future research directions discussed. Finally, opportunities for the power industry to enhance power grid resilience and valuable insights for other sectors facing extreme events are addressed.
