Thrombotic diseases are a growing global health concern,contributing remarkably to the mortality and disease burden worldwide due to lifestyle changes,habits,and ageing populations.In Western regions,approximately 8.3%of individuals experience venous thromboembolism(VTE)during their lifetime.1 Globally,ischemic heart disease and stroke remain the leading causes of death,with age-standardized death rates of 108.7 and 87.4 per 100,000 population,respectively.
