Based on the clinically common condition of meridian-sinew impediment pain,this paper addresses the limitations of the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)principle of"taking the pain points as the acupuncture points"in treating deep-seated,complex,and stubborn meridian-sinew disorders.It systematically explores and elaborates on the theoretical innovation and unique clinical value of the core concept of"taking the nodes as the acupuncture points"in Zhuang ethnic medicine meridian-sinew therapy.Zhuang ethnic medicine theory proposes that the core pathogenesis of meridian-sinew impediment pain lies in"blockage of the two pathways,causing pain due to sinew nodes",meaning that the human body's"Long Lu"(龙路)and"Huo Lu"(火路)are obstructed,forming palpable"sinew nodes",which are the root cause of pain.Based on this,Zhuang ethnic medicine establishes a precise positioning system of"pain point-sinew node-acupoint",treating the sinew node(meridian-sinew acupoint)as the core target for diagnosis and treatment.This approach breaks through the traditional method of relying solely on pain points for localization,addressing the insufficiency of the traditional"pain point-based acupoint selection"method.In clinical practice,this therapy first employs the unique"meridian-sinew palpation technique"to locate sinew node acupoints.It then comprehensively applies characteristic Zhuang ethnic medicine external treatment techniques such as meridian-sinew manipulation,fire needling with"consolidating the node and needling"technique,and bamboo cupping therapy.These therapies aim to"resolve nodes and dredge collaterals",achieving both symptomatic and root cause treatment.Research shows that this therapy,by resolving nodes and eliminating foci,unblocks the Long Lu and Huo Lu pathways,effectively restoring the mechanical balance and Qi(气)-blood circulation of the meridian-sinew pathways.It provides a targeted,effective,and precise ethnic medical solution for meridian-sinew impediment pain.The concept and practice of"taking the nodes as the acupuncture points"in Zhuang ethnic medicine not only significantly enhance clinical efficacy but also hold great value for enriching and developing the theoretical system of external treatments in TCM.
