地洛瑞林植入剂在犬猫生殖调控上的应用前景OA

Delorelin,as an analog of gonadotropin-releasing hormone(GnRH)in peptide hormones,can inhibit the pituitary-gonadal axis through sustained low dose release,affect the synthesis and/or release of follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH)and luteinizing hormone(LH),and then regulate the reproductive ability of male animals.In 2007,the Veterinary Drug Committee(CVMP)of the European Drug Administration(EMA)approved the deslorelin acetate implant for the temporary treatment of male infertility in cats and dogs,as well as temporary infertility in female cats,which was the first time that the drug was used in dogs and cats.In 2019,The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs approved the 4.7 mg delorelin acetate implant from VIRBAC of France for the temporary birth control of healthy,sexually mature and non-castrated male dogs,and the drug entered the Chinese market for the first time.In this paper the mechanism of action,pharmacokinetic properties,clinical application and development prospects of dilorelin in dogs and cats were reviewed,in order to promote the research,development and application of dilorelin in China.
