Based on his investigation of the machine system of labor,Marx completed a systematic critique of the modernity of capital.The machine system is the materialization of the social relations that govern labor and the power of capital,the perfect carrier of fixed capital and the highest form of realization of the logic of capital,as well as the driving force for the systematization of civilization and the material basis for humanity to shape a human community with a shared future.The alienation of machine system labor is manifested in the alienation of the subjectivity of labor,the alienation of labor outcomes,the alienation of the labor process,and the alienation of labor relations.As a result,"forced labor"turns workers into living appendages of the machine system,and the machine system becomes the material basis for strengthening the ruling power of capitalists.The production of surplus value dominated by capital is the social root of the value illusion of machine system labor.As constant capital,the machine system is not the source of value creation.The value illusion of machine system labor is an important means of defending the capitalist system.Machine system labor is the material force that shortens necessary labor time,the catalytic force for abolishing wage labor,the foundational force for the wealth measure of free time,and the promoting force for the free and all-round development of human beings.Therefore,it contains the theoretical orientation toward human liberation.
