Effect of short-term freezing stress on growth and development of Malus pumila trees before the germination stage

以昭通红富士苹果树为试验材料,通过对比试验探讨苹果树在萌芽期前对短期低温胁迫(-2~-8 ℃)的耐受性,旨在用短时间的冰冻胁迫处理增强红富士苹果树对"倒春寒"的抵抗力.通过测定苹果树的萌芽率、叶面积、光合速率、叶形指数、枝条生长速率以及果树和枝条的存活率等生长指标,分析低温胁迫对果树生长的影响.结果表明,处理组树体及枝条存活率达100%,对照组树体存活率为97.6%,枝条存活率为98.64%.与对照相比,处理组前期萌发率较对照下降4.16%,但叶片生长速率明显优于对照,处理组平均叶面积较对照增加633.84 mm2,光合速率提高1.4 μmol·m-2·s-1,叶形指数未见显著差异.上述结果表明,苹果树在萌芽期前进行短时(15 h)低温(-2~-8 ℃)冰冻胁迫能提升树体的抗寒能力,且不影响苹果树存活率,对果树枝叶生长发育有积极的促进作用.

Zhaotong Red Fuji apple trees were used as the experimental material.By comparative experiment,the tolerance of apple trees to short-term low-temperature stress(-2℃ to-8℃)before the germination stage was explored,aiming to improve the tolerance of Red Fuji apple trees to the damage caused by'late spring cold snaps' through short-term freezing stress treatment.Through measuring growth indicators including the germination rate,leaf area,photosynthetic rate,leaf shape index,shoot growth rate,as well as the survival rate of both the fruit trees and their branches,the effect of low-temperature stress on apple trees was analyzed.The results showed that the treatment group got a 100%survival rate for both the trees and their shoots,while the control group achieved survival rates of 97.6%and 98.64%for the trees and shoots,respectively.The germination rate of the treatment trees was 4.16%lower than that of the control in the early stage,while the leaf growth rate was significantly superior to that of thecontrol,with the average leaf area of the treatment group increasedoy 633.84 mm2 compared with the control,the photosynthetic rate improved by 1.4 μmol·m-2·s-1,and no significant difference was observed in the leaf shape index.Taken together,the short-term(15 h)low-temperature(-2℃ to-8℃)freezing stress before the germination stage could improveo cold resistanceof the apple trees,without affecting their survival rate,and has a positive promoting effect on the growth and development of branches and leavesof trees.
