Pain is a complex physiological and psychological phenomenon that not only affects physical health but also deeply impacts patients'psychologica and social functions.In recent years,advancements in painology have revealed multifaceted mechanisms,assessment methods,and treatment strategies of pain.These developments hold significant importance for improving patients'quality of life and optimizing clinical treatment strategies.Current research indicates that pain mechanisms involve neural biology,genetics,and psychological factors,while assessment methods are continuously evolving and improving.Although numerous new treatment approaches have been proposed,individualized therapy implementation still faces challenges such as differences in patients'perception of pain,variability in treatment responses,and limitations in medical resources.This article aims to review the research findings in pain medicine,analyze their actual effects and challenges in clinical application,and explore future directions for pain research,with the goal of providing references and insights for researchers and clinical physicians.
