基于生肖文化的字体转译设计研究——以蛇年生肖字体为例OA
TYPEFACE TRANSLATION DESIGN BASED ON CHINESE ZODIAC CULTURE:A CASE STUDY OF SNAKE-YEAR TYPOGRAPHY
本研究探讨如何将生肖蛇年的核心视觉元素转译为现代字体,缓解生肖字体在传统文化视觉转译过程中常见的同质化与语义弱化问题.以蛇年生肖字体为研究案例,结合符号学、格式塔心理学与视觉修辞三类理论,搭建"形—意—用"字体视觉转译模型,通过这一模型来解构生肖蛇的文化语义与视觉特征.在此基础上,采用问卷调查对字体进行识别性、文化联想度与审美接受度的认知评价测试.从调查结果来看,基于"形—意—用"模型设计的转译字体,在文化联想度和审美接受度上明显优于常规字体,在语义识别方面同样表现良好,验证了转译策略的有效性.本研究为生肖文化字体的转译与传播提供了可参考的理论框架与设计方法,也能为传统文化在现代字体设计中的创新表达提供一定启示.
Explore how to translate the core visual elements of the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac into modern fonts to address the problems of homogenization and weakened semantics that occur in the visual translation of zodiac fonts in traditional culture.Based on the three theories of semiotics,Gestalt psychology and visual rhetoric,this paper constructs a translation model of"form meaning use"to deconstruct the cultural semantic and visual characteristics of the Chinese Zodiac snake,and carries out cognitive evaluation tests of identifiability,cultural association and aesthetic acceptance through questionnaires.The translation font designed based on the"form meaning use"model is significantly better than the conventional font in terms of Cultural Association and aesthetic acceptance,and the semantic recognition accuracy is high,which verifies the effectiveness of the translation strategy.This study provides theoretical support and methodological reference for the visual translation and dissemination of Chinese Zodiac cultural fonts,and helps to promote the innovative expression of traditional culture in font design.
