Stability study of Vitamin C ethyl ether
VC乙基醚在化妆品配方开发中容易出现pH下降、变色等稳定性问题,针对该现象对VC乙基醚本身性质进行研究,通过不同的厂商、浓度、初始pH值、体系、复配物配伍方面的稳定性进行分析.结果表明,VC乙基醚在化妆品配方中变色原因和VC乙基醚的添加量及初始pH值、体系、复配物配伍有强相关,通过调节添加量、初始浓度、避开配伍禁忌物、加入焦亚硫酸钠抗氧化,同时加入柠檬酸及柠檬酸钠作为缓冲抑制pH下降,加入海藻糖等协同抑制VC乙基醚稳定性褐变现象,有效解决VC乙基醚稳定性问题,为解决化妆品应用配方开发过程中VC乙基醚的不稳定现象提供解决思路.
Vitamin C ethyl ether(VC-EE)often exhibits stability issues such as pH decrease and discoloration during cosmetic formulation development.To address this,we investigated the intrinsic properties of VC-EE and analyzed its stability across different suppliers,concentrations,initial pH values,formulation systems,and compatibility with other ingredients.Results indicate that discoloration is strongly correlated with VC-EE dosage,initial pH,formulation system,and ingredient compatibility.Stability can be significantly improved by adjusting VC-EE concentration,avoiding incompatible compounds,adding sodium metabisulfite as an antioxidant,and including citric acid and sodium citrate as buffers to prevent pH decline.Additionally,synergistic addition of trehalose can inhibit browning and furtherenhance stability.These findings provide practical strategies for overcoming VC-EE instability in cosmetic formulations.
