数字经济、城乡教育均衡与共同富裕:耦合协调测度及其影响因素OA

[Research purpose]This paper aims to reveal the intrinsic logic of the digital economy empowering urban-rural integrated development and to explore the influence effects and functioning mechanisms of the digital economy on the coupling and coordination between balanced urban-rural education and common prosperity.[Research method]Using China's provincial panel data from 2011 to 2023 as the sample,this study constructs an evaluation index system via the entropy-weighted TOPSIS method.It adopts the coupling coordination degree model to measure their coupling coordination level,and systematically investigates the impact effects and mechanism of the digital economy on the coupling coordination degree between balanced urban-rural education and common prosperity by employing a two-way fixed-effects model and a mediation effect model.[Research conclusion]During the sample period,the coupling coordination degree between balanced urban-rural education and common prosperity showed a steady upward trend;the digital economy exerts a significant positive driving effect on such coupled and coordinated development,a conclusion that holds after robustness checks.Heterogeneity analysis reveals that the promotion effect of the digital economy is more pronounced in regions east of the Hu Huanyong Line and areas with low-to-medium coupling levels,whereas the effect insignificant in regions west of the Hu Huanyong Line and areas with high coupling coordination levels.Mechanism analysis indicates that the digital economy promotes the coordinated development of balanced urban-rural education and common prosperity by empowering fiscal decentralization to boost urban-rural education investment,advancing the equalization of urban-rural public services,and facilitating urban-rural integrated development.Based on the research findings,this paper puts forward the following policy suggestions:in eastern regions,efforts should be made to advance the program of"strong schools supporting weak schools"and improve teachers'digital literacy;in western regions,it is vital to strengthen digital infrastructure,develop paired assistance and promote industry-education integration.Regions with low-to-medium coupling coordination levels should focus on filling resource gaps,accurately remedying shortcomings and carrying out dynamic monitoring,whereas regions with high coordination levels should upgrade digital education to pursue quality-oriented balance.Moreover,a sound guarantee mechanism should be established with a tiered fiscal burden sharing system and a dynamic adjustment mechanism supported by a third-party evaluation,so as to ensure effective implementation of all initiatives and provide practical pathways for promoting balanced urban-rural education and common prosperity.
