Sedimentary Evolution and Exploration Direction of Forebulge in Foreland Basin:A Case Study of Shixi Bulge in Junggar Basin

前隆带是前陆盆地系统的重要组成部分,由于其紧邻前渊带和隆后盆地等生烃中心,油气资源丰富,油气勘探不断取得突破,但目前针对前隆带沉积相类型及其演化的研究较少.依据测井、岩心、地震、分析测试等资料,详细分析了前隆带的沉积相类型、沉积相演化、物源等,并指出了前隆带的油气勘探方向.研究认为:构造活动是前隆带沉积演化的主要因素,前隆带的沉积相类型简单,具体包括辫状河三角洲相、湖泊相等,其中辫状河三角洲相是前隆带的主要沉积相类型.前隆带沉积过程中受到2 个主要物源的影响:前隆带隆升期(石炭纪-侏罗纪早期),前隆带中央隆起区为其两侧提供物源;前隆带构造活动停止期(侏罗纪中期以后),逆冲推复带为前隆带的物源区.由于物源和沉积相带的变化,前隆带斜坡区砂体的分布特征也不同,该地下部砂体以向前隆带构造高部位尖灭为特征,上部砂体以向逆冲推覆带尖灭为特征(反方向),因此,下部地层以寻找岩相油气藏为主,上部地层以构造油气藏为主.该研究明确了前陆盆地前隆带沉积演化的主控因素、沉积相类型及砂体分布规律,为该类区域的油气勘探提供了重要的理论依据.

The forebulge zone is an important component of the foreland basin system.Due to its close proximity to hydrocarbon genera-tion centers such as foredeep zone and backbulge zone,it is rich in oil and gas resources.However,there is currently limited research on the sedimentary facies types and evolution of the forebulge zone.Based on logging,core,seismic,and analytical testing data,the sedi-mentary facies types,sedimentary facies evolution,and provenance of the forebulge zone were analyzed in detail,and the direction of oil and gas exploration in the forebulge zone was pointed out.It is held that tectonic activity is the main factor in the sedimentary evolution of the forebulge zone.The sedimentary facies types of the forebulge zone are simple,including braided river delta facies and lacustrine facies,among which braided river delta facies is the main sedimentary facies type of the forebulge zone.The sedimentation process of the forebulge zone is influenced by two main provenances:in the rising period of the forebulge zone(Carboniferous--early Jurassic),the central uplift area provides provenance for both sides of it,and the cessation period of tectonic activity in the forebulge zone(after the middle Jurassic),and the thrust nappe zone is the provenance of the forebulge zone.Due to changes in provenance and sedimentary fa-cies,the distribution characteristics of sand bodies in the slope area of the forebulge zone are different.The lower sand body is character-ized by the pinch out towards the high part of the forebulge zone structure,while the upper sand body is characterized by the pinch out towards the thrust nappe zone(in the opposite direction).Therefore,the lower strata are mainly focused on searching for lithofacies oil and gas reservoirs,while the upper strata are mainly focused on structural oil and gas reservoirs.This study clarifies the main controlling factors of sedimentary evolution,types of sedimentary facies and distribution laws of sand bodies in the forebulge zone of foreland ba-sins,providing an important theoretical basis for oil and gas exploration in such areas.
