Policy support for agricultural socialized services is a crucial strategy for accelerating the development of large-scale ag-ricultural operations yet it implies potential distortions to the market mechanism.Using micro-survey data of service providers monitored by the agricultural socialized service system in 2021,this study analyzes the impact of implementing agricultural produc-tion trusteeship programs on the pricing of farmland services andexamines the heterogeneity of program participation,land charac-teristics,and crop types.The findings indicate that agricultural production trusteeship program significantly reduce the price of farmland services in pilot counties,with a more pronounced price reduction effect for entities participating in the project.These conclusions remain robust across a series of sensitivity tests.The analysis of land characteristics and crop types reveals that the price-lowering effect is more significant for farmland services targeting contiguous plots and grain crops compared to those aimed at fragmented lands and non-grain crops,whichhighlights the heterogeneous impact of the program on service markets with vary-ing degrees of market development.These results suggest that support policies targeting farmland services can effectively reduce service prices,increase the income of service purchasers,and promote the development of large-scale service operations.Howev-er,given that the effectiveness of these policies stems from market intervention,a cautious evaluation of such policies is required.
