China's Strategies to Contribute and Promote"Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic":A Perspective of the Global Development Initiative
"以竹代塑"是落实全球发展倡议的切实举措,可以在减少塑料污染的同时发挥固碳减排增汇、促进减贫与振兴乡村、推动竹产业发展等重要作用.依托竹资源、竹产业、竹文化等方面的全球领先优势,我国兼具"以竹代塑"倡议发起者、技术供给者、产品制造者的多重角色;但从促进全球共同发展的高度来看,仍面临生产效率低、产品附加值低、市场接受度低等挑战.因此,需进一步加强技赋能、创新驱动、消费拉动,以有效推动"以竹代塑"倡议落实、助力全球发展倡议.
"Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic"is a concrete measure to implement the Global Development Initiative,playing an important role in carbon sequestration and emissions reduction,poverty alleviation and rural revitalization,and bamboo industry development while reducing plastic pollution.Relying on its global leading advantages in bamboo resources,bamboo industry,and bamboo culture,China plays multiple roles as the initiator,technology provider,and product manufacturer of"Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic".However,from the perspective of promoting global co-development,China still faces challenges such as low production efficiency,low product value addition,and low market acceptance.Therefore,it is necessary to further strengthen technological empowerment,innovation driving,and consumption stimulation so as to effectively promote the implementation of"Bamboo as a Substitute for Plastic Initiative"and contribute to the Global Development Initiative.
