中国古典园林是公众接触、体验和理解中国园林美学、审美情趣的重要窗口.了解公众对古典园林的视觉感知及偏好,对保护和传承其美学与文化遗产价值至关重要.本研究以北京市颐和园作为典型案例,通过眼动追踪技术,结合美景度评价方法,探讨观察者的视觉感知如何与景观偏好相关联,并分析这些视觉行为特征如何反映并影响公众的偏好.研究显示:(1)硬景观是公众视觉感知的焦点,在视觉注意力、关注度和视觉搜索上表现突出.(2)公众观赏植物景观更重整体而非局部,山水景观视觉特征较平淡.(3)公众的视觉行为特征与偏好之间存在显著的关联:当建筑为场景主导元素时,与自然性评分呈负相关;道路和设施元素对古典园林的文化性、历史性有负面影响;水面元素能增强园林自然氛围和色彩多样性;植物元素与色彩丰富度之间呈现负相关.在进行景观提升时,需从尊重现有格局、遵循视觉行为特征、优化植物配置3个方面进行改进.本研究通过眼动追踪技术揭示了公众对古典园林的视觉注意特征,为理解其认知模式提供了实证依据,拓展了园林感知研究的分析方法.

Chinese classical gardens serve as crucial windows for the public to access,experience,and understand Chinese garden aesthetics and aesthetic tastes.Investigating the public's visual perception and preferences regarding classical gardens is essential for the preservation and inheritance of their aesthetic and cultural heritage.This study selects the Summer Palace in Beijing as a representative case.By employing eye-tracking technology and integrating it with the scenic beauty evaluation method,this research explores the relationship between observers' visual perception and landscape preferences.Furthermore,it analyses how these visual behavioural characteristics reflect and influence public preferences.The findings indicate that:(1)Hard landscapes are focal points in the public's visual perception,excelling in terms of visual attention,degree of focus,and visual search patterns.(2)When appreciating plant landscapes,the public tends to focus on the overall view rather than intricate details,while the visual characteristics of mountain-water landscapes appear relatively understated.(3)There is a significant correlation between the public's visual behavioural characteristics and their preferences:when buildings dominate a scene,there is a negative correlation with naturalness scores;road and facility elements negatively affect the cultural and historical essence of classical gardens;water surface elements enhance the natural ambience and colour diversity of the garden;plant elements exhibit a negative correlation with colour richness.For landscape improvements,three aspects require attention:respecting the existing layout,aligning with visual behavioural characteristics,and optimising plant configurations.This study used eye-tracking technology to reveal the visual attention characteristics of the public towards classical gardens,providing empirical evidence for understanding their cognitive patterns and expanding the analytical methods used in garden perception research.
