Effects of supplementary feeding with a low-protein starter diet on intestinal and pancreatic functions in suckling yak calves

试验旨在探究补饲低蛋白水平开食料对哺乳期牦牛犊牛肠道及胰腺功能的影响.选取27头42~45日龄的健康母牦牛犊牛,随机分为3组,每组9个重复,每个重复1头.HP组饲喂高蛋白开食料(蛋白水平约19.00%),LP+RPAA组饲喂低蛋白开食料+过瘤胃氨基酸(蛋白水平约17.00%,赖氨酸∶蛋氨酸=3∶1),LP组饲喂低蛋白开食料(蛋白水平约17.00%).预试期21 d,正式试验期100 d.结果显示,LP组十二指肠绒毛高度显著高于HP组和LP+RPAA组(P<0.05),绒隐比极显著高于HP组和LP+RPAA组(P<0.01).HP组和LP+RPAA组十二指肠中白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)含量极显著高于LP组(P<0.01).LP组和LP+RPAA组胰腺内分泌部面积总占比极显著高于HP组(P<0.01);LP组内外分泌部面积比显著高于HP组和LP+RPAA组(P<0.05).HP组胰腺糜蛋白酶活性与羧肽酶活性极显著低于LP组和LP+RPAA组(P<0.01),胰腺胰岛素含量显著低于LP组与LP+RPAA组(P<0.05).HP组和LP组胰腺中白细胞介素-4(IL-4)含量极显著高于LP+RPAA组(P<0.01);HP组胰腺中免疫球蛋白G(IgG)含量极显著高于LP组和LP+RPAA组(P<0.01);LP+RPAA组胰腺中肿瘤坏死因子-α(TNF-α)含量极显著高于HP组和LP组(P<0.01).研究表明,低蛋白开食料能够有效促进牦牛犊牛十二指肠发育,优化胰腺功能并维持免疫平衡,额外补充过瘤胃氨基酸虽然可以提高部分消化酶活性和免疫功能,但未表现出更优的效益.

This experiment aimed to investigate the effects of supplementary feeding with a low-protein starter diet on the intestinal and pancreatic functions of suckling yak calves.Twenty-seven healthy female yak calves aged 42~45 days were selected and randomly divided into three groups,with nine replicates per group,and one calf per replicate.The group HP was fed with high-protein starter feed(with a protein level of approximately 19.00%),the group LP+RPAA was fed with low-protein starter feed+rumen-protected amino acids(with a protein level of approximately 17.00%,with lysine to methionine ratio of 3∶1),and the group LP was fed with low-protein starter feed(with a protein level of approximately 17.00%).The pre-test period was 21 days,and the formal test period was 100 days.The results showed that duodenal villus height in group LP was significantly greater than that in groups HP and LP+RPAA(P<0.05),and the villus height to crypt depth ratio in group LP was extremely higher than that in groups HP and LP+RPAA(P<0.01).The interleukin-1β(IL-1β)content in the duodenum in groups HP and LP+RPAA was extremely higher than that in group LP(P<0.01).The total area percentage of the pancreatic endocrine portion in groups LP and LP+RPAA was extremely higher than in group HP(P<0.01),and the exocrine-to-endocrine area ratio in group LP was significantly higher than that in groups HP and LP+RPAA(P<0.05).Pancreatic chymotrypsin and carboxypeptidase activities in group HP were extremely lower than in groups LP and LP+RPAA(P<0.01),and pancreatic insulin content in group HP was significantly lower than that in groups LP and LP+RPAA(P<0.05).Pancreatic interleukin-4(IL-4)content in groups HP and LP was extremely higher than that in group LP+RPAA(P<0.01),pancreatic immunoglobulin G(IgG)content in group HP was extremely higher than that in groups LP and LP+RPAA(P<0.01).And pancreatic tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)content in group LP+RPAA was extremely higher than that in groups HP and LP(P<0.01).The study shows that a low-protein starter diet can effectively promote duodenum development,optimize pancreatic function,and maintain immune balance in yak calves.Although additional supplementation with rumen-protected amino acids can enhance the activity of certain digestive enzymes and immune function,it did not demonstrate superior overall benefits.
