"未来药物"项目中的工程科幻与制药工程交互影响:基于STS视角的关键问题分析OA
The Interaction between Engineering Science Fiction and Pharmaceutical Engineering in the"Future Medicine"Project:An Analysis of Key Issues based on STS Perspective
This study delves into the fascinating intersection between engineering science fiction and pharmaceutical engineering, with a particular focus on the"Future Medicine"Project in China. This project actively encourages the creation of science fiction narratives centered around future medicines, with the ultimate goal of stimulating creativity and fostering innovation within the pharmaceutical research and development sector.By carefully examining a selection of science fiction works, this research aims to uncover their profound impact on promoting technological advancements and ethical considerations within the realm of pharmaceutical engineering. The significance of this research lies in its ability to reveal novel perspectives for pharmaceutical innovation and address the societal implications of technological progress. The research methodology adopted is qualitative, employing a case study approach to analyze representative science fiction works emanating from the"Future Medicine"Project. These works are chosen based on their deep engagement with pharmaceutical engineering themes, including new drug development, innovative treatment methods, and pertinent ethical issues. The analysis is conducted through a Science,Technology, and Society(STS)perspective, which takes into account the intricate interplay between scientific progress, society, and ethics. The guiding principles for selection and analysis encompass representativeness, relevance to pharmaceutical engineering, and the explicit presence of ethical discussions. The research process entails a comprehensive analysis of three selected science fiction works:"The Hopeful Light of Medicine's Eye:Imitation Naclear""666"and"Dawn".These works are dissected to understand their portrayal of pharmaceutical engineering processes, which encompass laboratory research, animal testing, and human experimentation.Furthermore, the analysis delves into the ethical challenges presented within these works, such as informed consent, the potential abuse of technology, and patient autonomy.Empirical examination involves the extraction and categorization of technological and ethical themes inherent in the selected works. The study concludes that the science fiction works from the"Future Medicine"Project offer fresh perspectives and ideas for pharmaceutical engineering research. These works underscore the systematic and innovative nature of pharmaceutical engineering while concurrently addressing its limitations, notably the dearth of sufficient innovative thinking and forward-looking perspectives.Additionally, the study finds that these works stimulate ethical considerations in pharmaceutical research, emphasizing the crucial importance of informed consent, ethical review, and patient autonomy. The main points of this research encompass the potential of science fiction in inspiring pharmaceutical innovation, the ethical challenges inherent in drug development, and the pressing need for interdisciplinary collaboration between engineering, science, and literature. This study introduces a groundbreaking approach to pharmaceutical engineering research by amalgamating STS perspectives with engineering science fiction analysis. The findings of this research have significant policy implications for enhancing ethical considerations in pharmaceutical research and development.Furthermore, this study contributes to academic discourse by providing a novel method for exploring the intersection of science, technology, and society within the context of pharmaceutical engineering. The true value of this research lies in its potential to inform policy decisions, guide future research directions, and foster public understanding of the ethical implications of pharmaceutical advancements.By bridging the gap between science fiction and pharmaceutical engineering, this study opens up new avenues for exploration and innovation in the field.
