This article summarized the major advancements made in the field of tea plant biology during the 14th Five-Year Plan period,covering various aspects including genomics research,analysis of leaf color change mecha-nisms,construction of quality formation regulatory networks,and research on stress resistance mechanisms.It ana-lyzed the technical bottlenecks and scientific issues existing in current research and proposed key development strat-egies for tea plant biology during the 15th Five-Year Plan period,aiming to provide references for innovation in ba-sic biological research of tea plants and high-quality development of the tea industry.
