皖南次生马尾松林恢复过程中林下木本植物生长动态及性状响应OA
Growth dynamics and trait responses of understory woody plants during the restoration of secondary Pinus massoniana forests in southern Anhui
基于空间替代时间的方法,在安徽牯牛降自然保护区选取恢复10年、20~30年及50年的马尾松(Pinus massoniana)林,分析了灌木层主要木本植物的叶性状、干材密度与生长速度的变化特征.结果显示:(1)不同恢复阶段群落中,林下木本植物的性状组合存在显著差异.早期恢复群落(10年)叶氮和叶磷含量高,生长速度快,但干材密度较低,长期恢复群落(50年)叶寿命延长,干材密度升高.(2)共有种格药柃(Eurya muricata)和檵木(Loropetalum chinense)在恢复过程中比叶面积逐渐增加,叶厚度逐渐减小.(3)林下木本植物生物量增量与单位重量的叶氮含量(Nmass)、单位重量的叶磷含量(Pmass)、叶总氮含量(TN)、叶总磷含量(TP)呈显著正相关,而相对基径生长速度(RGB)与干材密度呈显著负相关.这些结果揭示了林地恢复过程中林下植物功能性状的动态调控特征.
Using a space-for-time substitution approach,we examined leaf traits,wood density,and growth rates of dominant woody species in the understory of Pinus massoniana forests at 10-,20-30-,and 50-year restoration sta-ges in the Guniujiang Nature Reserve,Anhui Province.We found that:(1)Plant functional traits varied signifi-cantly among restoration stages.Early-stage forests(10 years)were characterized by higher leaf nitrogen and phos-phorus concentrations,higher growth rates,and lower wood density,whereas late-stage forests(50 years)exhibi-ted longer leaf lifespans and higher wood density.(2)The co-occurring species Eurya muricata and Loropetalum chinense showed gradual increases in specific leaf area and decreases in leaf thickness across the restoration chrono-sequence.(3)The biomass increment of understory woody species was significantly positively correlated with leaf nitrogen content per unit mass(Nmass),leaf phosphorus content per unit mass(Pmass),total leaf nitrogen content(TN),and total leaf phosphorus content(TP),while the relative growth rate of basal diameter(RGB)was signif-icantly negatively correlated with wood density.Together,these findings underscore the importance of functional trait dynamics of understory species during forest succession.
