无增容少用量EPDM优化NR的力学性能和老化性能OA

Optimization of Mechanical Properties and Aging Resistance of NR via Low-dosage EPDM without Compatibilizer

采用无增容体系在常规硫化下制备天然橡胶(NR)/三元乙丙橡胶(EPDM)复合材料,研究少量EPDM对NR力学性能和老化性能的影响,并对复合材料界面相容性和分散状况进行表征.结果表明:mNR/mEPDM为90/10时复合材料的力学性能最佳,拉伸强度为20.5 MPa,撕裂强度为22.58 N/mm.而老化性能在mNR/mEPDM为85/15时最佳,拉伸强度保留率为28%,断裂伸长率保留率为70%.随着EPDM添加量的增加,复合材料的断面整体完整性和均匀性均有所改善,在mNR/mEPDM为80/20时出现结构不连续的裂痕,但复合材料经老化处理后相比纯NR还可保持完整的结构连续性.添加少量EPDM的复合材料玻璃化转变温度只有一个,表明其界面相容性较好.动态机械性能研究表明,NR/EPDM复合材料呈现Payne效应,mNR/mEPDM为90/10时,因两相界面结合紧密,分子链协同承载最优.

Natural rubber(NR)/ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber(EPDM)composites were prepared using a non-augmentation system under conventional vulcanization,and the effects of small amounts of EPDM on the mechanical and aging properties of NR were investigated.The interfacial compatibility and dispersion of the composites were also characterized.The results showed that the mechanical properties of the composites were optimal when the mNR/mEPDM was 90/10,with a tensile strength of 20.5 MPa and a tear strength of 22.58 N/mm.The aging properties were best when the mNR/mEPDM was 85/15,with a tensile strength retention rate of 28%and an elongation at break retention rate of 70%.As the amount of EPDM increased,the overall integrity and uniformity of the composite's fracture surface improved.Structural discontinuities appeared when the mNR/mEPDM was 80/20,but the composites maintained structural continuity after aging treatment compared to pure NR.The composites with a small amount of EPDM had only one glass transition temperature,indicating good interfacial compatibility.Dynamic mechanical properties showed that the NR/EPDM composites exhibited the Payne effect,and when the mNR/mEPDM was 90/10,the tight interfacial bonding and optimal synergistic load-bearing of the molecular chains were achieved.
