Carbon Emission Assessment and Mitigation Practices in Building Demolition During Urban Renewal:A Case Study of an Old Residential Community in Nanjing
在城市更新进程中,拆除原有建筑是第一阶段,旨在为城市发展释放新的空间.目前,针对建筑拆除阶段的碳排放研究多集中于拆除物的处置环节,而对建筑本体拆除过程的研究相对较少.以南京市某老旧小区为例,对其人工拆除过程进行了碳排放计算,得出建筑本体拆除、拆除物运输、拆除物循环利用 3 个环节的单位面积碳排放量分别为 2.57、4.44 和-13.95 kg/m2.与机械拆除方式相比,人工拆除带来的碳减量达到 15.81 kg/m2,但其所需工日数为机械拆除的 6 倍.最后,提出可以通过施工和运输设备电气化、加强施工人员的专业技能培训、完善建筑垃圾资源化利用交易平台等措施,可使建筑拆除阶段的碳排放量下降约 27%.
As the first stage of urban renewal,the demolition of existing buildings creates new space for urban development.Current studies on carbon emissions in the demolition stage primarily focuses on waste disposal processes,while limited attention paid to the demolition process itself.This paper conducts a carbon emission assessment of the manual demolition of an old residential community in Nanjing.The results show that the carbon emissions per unit area during building demolition,waste transportation,and waste recycling are 2.57 kg/m2,4.44 kg/m2,and-13.95 kg/m2(a negative emission due to recycling benefits),respectively.Compared with mechanical demolition,manual demolition achieves a carbon reduction of 15.81 kg/m2 but requires six times more labor days.Furthermore,this study proposes that electrification of construction/transportation equipment,enhanced worker training,and establishment of a construction waste recycling platform could reduce carbon emissions in the demolition phase by about 27%.
