Electropolishing process for metallographic specimens of molybdenum target

为了提高钼靶材的金相检验质量,研究了电解抛光电压和电解抛光时间对钼靶材金相试样抛光效果的影响,分析了钼靶材金相试样电解抛光效果的影响因素.结果表明:随着电解抛光电压的增大和电解抛光时间的延长,试样表面的划痕逐渐消除,但因腐蚀产物附着,其表面会出现黑色区域和小黑点;若过度腐蚀,其表面会产生带有腐蚀坑的黑色晶粒.当电解抛光电压为35 V、电解抛光时间为30 s时,钼靶材的电解抛光效果最佳.

In order to improve the quality of metallographic examination of molybdenum target,the effects of electropolishing voltage and electropolishing time on the polishing quality of molybdenum metallographic specimens were investigated,and the factors influencing the electropolishing outcome were analyzed.The results show that as the electropolishing voltage increased and the electropolishing time extended,surface scratches on the specimens gradually disappeared.However,black regions and small dark spots appeared due to the adhesion of corrosion products.In cases of over-etching,black grains with corrosion pits formed on the surface.The optimal electropolishing result for molybdenum target was achieved at an electropolishing voltage of 35 V and an electropolishing time of 30 s.
