Design of An Elm Wood Hot Air Dryer

以榆木为原料,考察了其在热风干燥过程中的干燥特性,分析了榆木热风干燥动力学特征,测定了干燥过程中产生的挥发性有机物(VOCs),并基于榆木干燥特性设计了处理量为10 t/h的转筒干燥机.研究表明:榆木热风干燥过程中,热风温度越高、生物质初始含水率越低、生物质粒径越小,达到干燥平衡时所需要的时间就越短.不同初始含水率和不同粒径的榆木均可在27 min内完成干燥.干燥温度从160℃提升至220℃,CO2释放量从0.000 4 m3/kg增加至0.004 3 m3/kg.干燥温度低于180℃时,无法检测出VOCs.当干燥温度为200℃时,VOCs释放量为2.4 g/kg,主要成分为醛类和酮类,其中含糠醛67.5%.相较于其他动力学模型,Page模型能准确描述榆木(干基含水率 45%)热风干燥过程,有效水分扩散系数为2.46×10-8~9.77×10-8 m2/s,干燥活化能为 33.429 kJ/mol.处理量为 10 t/h的转筒干燥机的转筒长度为10.4 m,筒体内径为2.6 m,转筒转速为21.77~26.22 r/min,干燥 10 t/h榆木热负荷为100 828 kJ/h.

Using elm wood as raw material,the drying characteristics of it during hot-air drying were investigated,and the kinetics characteristics of hot air drying for elm wood were analyzed.The volatile organic compounds(VOCs)generated during the drying process were measured,and a rotary dryer with a processing capacity of 10 t/h was designed based on the biomass drying characteristics.The results showed that during hot air drying of elm wood,the higher the hot air temperature,the lower the initial moisture content of biomass,and the smaller the biomass particle sizes,the shorter the time required to reach the drying equilibrium.Elm wood with different initial moisture contents and particle sizes could be dried within 27 min.When the drying temperature increased from 160℃to 220℃,CO2 emissions increased from 0.000 4 Nm3/kg to 0.004 3 Nm3/kg.VOCs could not be detected when the drying temperatures were lower than 180℃.At a drying temperature of 200℃,VOCs emissions reached 2.4 g/kg,primarily consisted of aldehydes and ketones,with furfural accounted for 67.5%of the total.Compared with other kinetic models,the Page model could accurately describe the hot air drying process of elm wood(dry basis moisture content of 45%)with an effective moisture diffusivity ranged from 2.46×10-8 to 9.77×10-8 m2/s,a drying activation energy of 33.429 kJ/mol.The length of rotary dryer designed for processing capacity of 10 t/h biomass had a drum of 10.4 m,an inner diameter of 2.6 m,a drum rotation speed between 21.77 to 26.22 r/min,and a thermal load of 100 828 kJ/h for drying 10 t/h biomass.
