通过分析中国第十次北极科学考察走航获得的表层海水中放射性核素 137Cs 活度浓度数据,结合区域水文特征,解析了楚科奇海、白令海和北太平洋的 137Cs的分布特征及迁移机制.楚科奇海海水中137Cs活度浓度低(0.20~0.49 Bq·m-3),体现为北冰洋融冰水特征,受白令海海水输入影响较小.白令海海水中 137Cs活度浓度分布不均匀(0.41~1.08 Bq·m-3),西侧断面海盆南侧表层出现高值区,源自低温高盐次表层水上涌迁移,海盆中的次表层水来自阿留申北坡流的冬季下沉;东侧断面高值区出现在陆架区,受白令海陆架流输入的影响;北太平洋海水中 137Cs 活度浓度呈现斑块状分布(0.27~1.21 Bq·m-3),出现了明显的低值带,证实亚北极环流对污染物的阻隔作用.白令海、北太平洋洋流区 137Cs活度浓度分布差异不显著,表明放射性核素 137Cs示踪的放射性物质经洋流输运扩散,在大洋及边缘海广阔范围内具有均化趋势.该研究为评估核污染物北极迁移提供科学依据.

In this study,the distribution characteristics and transport paths of cesium-137(137Cs)in the Chukchi Sea,Bering Sea,and North Pacific Ocean were analyzed by combining the activity data from surface water collected during China's 10th Arctic scientific expedition with regional hydrological characteristics.Our findings indicate that 137Cs exhibited a low activity concentration in the Chukchi Sea(0.20-0.49 Bq·m-³),indicating that it was only minimally affected by water inflow from the Bering Sea.In the Bering Sea,the activity concentration of 137Cs was unevenly distributed(0.41-1.08 Bq·m-3).Additionally,a high-value area was observed in the southern part of the western basin,which was attributed to the migration of low-temperature,high-salinity subsurface water resulting from the winter subsidence of the Aleutian North Slope current.It was also observed that a high-value area in the eastern continental shelf was affected by the inflow of the continental shelf current.In the North Pacific Ocean,the 137Cs activity concentration exhibited a patchy distribution(0.27-1.21 Bq·m-³),with a distinct low-value area that confirmed the barrier effect of the Subarctic Current on pollutants.The absence of a significant difference in the distribution of 137Cs activity concentration in the Bering Sea and North Pacific Ocean indicated that the 137Cs-traced radioactive materials were transported and dispersed by ocean currents,leading to a homogenization trend across a wide range of oceans and marginal seas.Overall,this study provides a scientific basis for assessing the migration of nuclear pollutants toward the Arctic.
