Hemorrhoids are a common anorectal disease.However,public awareness regarding hemorrhoids is generally low,and misconceptions are prevalent.A considerable proportion of patients with hemorrhoids experience delayed diagno-sis and treatment due to embarrassment or reliance on information from non-professional sources.This guideline was jointly initiated by the Medical Science Popularization Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association,the Anorectal Surgeons Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association,the Anorectal Science Popularization Group of the Medical Sci-ence Popularization Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association,and the Anorectal Disease Professional Committee of the Chinese Medicine Education Association.Led by Professor Li Chunyu from The Fourth Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University,it was developed collaboratively by renowned national experts in the fields of anorectal diseases and science popularization.This article provides statements covering epidemiology,risk factors,clinical manifestations,preven-tion of hemorrhoids,management of hemorrhoids,and perioperative management of patients with hemorrhoids.It aims to serve as a reference for medical staff in conducting science popularization work related to the prevention and manage-ment of hemorrhoids,thereby contributing to the improvement of hemorrhoid prevention and management standards.
