Zhuzhi Ci constitutes a crucial component of local lyrical expression in the history of Chinese literature and serves as a mirror text re-flecting the local governance of a nation.During the early and middle Qing Dynasty,Chengdu,through effective governance,recovered from a state of devastation and evolved into a major town in southwest China.Zhuzhi Ci of this period focused on the leisurely delights of the prosperous era,a-chieved the poetic integration of elegance and vulgarity,and expanded its cultural functions,thus becoming an important part of Tianfu culture.From the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China,as Chengdu fell into hardship,Zhuzhi Ci recorded the trauma of the times by depicting chaos with sorrow and satirizing society through vulgar expressions.It shifted towards practical application and combined with newspapers,emerging as a tool to arouse the public and promote social reform.The spatial narrative of Chengdu's Zhuzhi Ci implicitly aligns with the changes in political and geograph-ical power.It reflects the evolution of national consciousness:from the identification with the isomorphic relationship between the state and the family in the early and middle Qing Dynasty,to the awareness of saving the nation from peril in the late Qing Dynasty,and further to the sense of a modern nation-state in the Republic of China,thereby documenting the course of national transformation.
