林窗改造对马尾松人工林林下植物多样性和土壤理化性质的影响OA
Effects of forest gap remodeling on understory plant diversity and soil physicochemical property in Pinus massoniana plantations
[目的]通过引入珍贵树种对马尾松人工纯林进行林窗改造,研究林窗大小对林下植物多样性和土壤理化性质的影响,揭示林下植物多样性与土壤理化性质的关系,为马尾松人工林提质增效提供科学依据.[方法]在22年生马尾松人工纯林内设置系列大小林窗(面积为100 m2、400 m2 和900 m2),以及皆伐(面积为1 hm2,CK1)和未改造林分(CK2)为对照,在林窗和皆伐地块补植珍贵树种交趾黄檀.4 a后调查交趾黄檀的生长状况、林下草本和灌木多样性,并测定土壤理化性质,分析林下植物多样性和土壤理化性质对林窗改造的响应及其相关性.[结果]1)交趾黄檀的地径和树高在中、大林窗中(400 m2 和 900 m2)较小林窗(100 m2)分别高 43.88%和 15.06%;2)林窗中灌木和草本植物的多样性总体上高于CK2,灌木和草本植物的多样性随着林窗面积的增加总体呈下降趋势,中、小林窗(400 m2 和 100 m2)的丰度和Shannon多样性指数较大林窗(900 m2)高 101.50%、26.09%(灌木)和 64.93%、12.29%(草本);3)冗余分析结果显示,林窗改造显著驱动了土壤有机碳(SOC)和全钾(TK)含量的变化,随林窗面积增大SOC、全氮(TN)含量逐渐增加,TK含量呈降低趋势;4)SOC、TN、有效氮(AN)含量与灌木的Pielou指数显著负相关,而与Simpson指数显著正相关;草本植物的Richness、Shannon、Pielou、Margalef与TK含量显著负相关,而与土壤总孔隙度(TPO)显著正相关.[结论]构建中等面积林窗(400 m2)对马尾松人工纯林进行改造有利于提高植物多样性,改善土壤养分状况,促进补植树种生长,对保护生物多样性、改善林分结构及提升森林质量具有重要作用.
[Objective]Based on the transformation of the pure Pinus massoniana plantations through making forest gaps and planting precious tree species in the gaps,it is essential to study the effects of different gap sizes on understory plant diversity and the soil physicochemical properties,to reveal the relationship between the understory plant diversity and soil physicochemical properties,aiming to provide foundation for improving the quality of the P.massoniana plantations.[Method]An experiment of forest gap-based transformation were carried out in the 22-year-old pure plantations of P.massoniana,with Dalbergia cochinchinensis seedlings planted in gaps.The experiment involves forest gaps with a series of sizes(100,400,900 m2),using clear cutting plots(1 hm2)and untransformed stands as control.The growth of D.cochinchinensis,understory plant diversity and soil physicochemical properties were investigated four years after the experiment began,and the response of understory plant diversity and soil physicochemical properties to forest gap management as well as relationship between these indexes were analyzed.[Result]1)Ground diameter and tree height of D.cochinchinensis were 43.88%and 15.06%higher in medium and large forest gaps(400 m2 and 900 m2)than in small forest gaps(100 m2),respectively;2)The diversities of shrubs and herbs were mostly higher in the forest gaps than in the CK2,the diversity of shrubs and herbs generally declined with increase of gap sizes.Among them,abundance and Shannon diversity index in medium and small forest gaps(400 m2 and 100 m2)were 101.50%,26.09%(shrub)and 64.93%,12.29%(herb)higher than large forest gaps(900 m2);3)RDA analysis showed that forest gap management significantly drove the changes in soil organic carbon(SOC)and total potassium(TK)contents,and the contents of SOC and total nitrogen(TN)gradually increased while the content of TK showed a decreasing trend with increase of gap sizes;4)Contents of SOC,TN,and avaible nitrogen(AN)were in significantly negative correlation with Pielou index and positive correlation with Simpson index of shrubs,Richness,Shannon,Pielou,and Margalef index of herbs were significantly negatively correlated with contents of TK while positively correlated with total porosity(TPO).[Conclusion]Therefore,forest gap management,especially application of medium gaps(400 m2)is beneficial for enhancing plant diversity,improving soil physicochemical properties,promoting the growth of the replanted tree species(D.cochinchinensis)in P.massoniana plantations.The findings will contribute to biodiversity conservation,stand structure optimization and forest quality improvement.
