武汉上空中间层和低热层大气风场的季节特征研究OA

Investigation of seasonal characteristics of wind fields in mesosphere and lower thermosphere over Wuhan

利用武汉流星雷达(114.4°E,30.6°N)的96个月观测数据.研究了武汉上空中间层和低热层区域水平背景风场、日潮、半日潮的季节性特征.结果表明:月平均纬向风以至日时存在强烈切变及夏季强东气流为特征.月平均经向风除冬季北向风外,其它季节皆表现为南向风.HWM14模型风中夏季纬向风和经向风明显弱于观测值.对潮汐分析表明,武汉地区潮汐以日潮为主.日潮、半日潮振幅均表现出强烈季节性变化,极大值于近春分和近秋分附近出现.与全球尺度波模式(GSWM)相比,观测结果普遍呈现出较小的日潮幅值和较大的半日潮幅值.这些研究结果表明:模式对北半球月平均风场和日潮汐描述,与实际观测值之间存在明显差异,还需加强对北半球的观测研究,来不断提高和完善目前模式.通过对武汉流星雷达观测数据的深入分析,为理解该地区大气动力学和模式改善提供了重要依据.

Using 96 months of observation data from the Wuhan meteor radar(114.4°E,30.6°N),the seasonal characteristics of the horizontal background wind,diurnal tide,and semidiurnal tide in the middle and lower thermosphere over Wuhan have been studied.The results show strong shear in the monthly average zonal wind,with a prominent easterly flow in summer.The meridional wind is northward in winter and southward in other seasons.The HWM14 model winds are notably weaker than the observed values in summer.Tidal analysis reveals that diurnal tides dominate in Wuhan,with both diurnal and semidiurnal tide amplitudes exhibiting strong seasonal variation,peaking around the equinoxes.Compared to the Global Scale Wave Model(GSWM),the observed diurnal tide amplitude is smaller,while the semidiurnal tide amplitude is larger.These results highlight discrepancies between model simulations and observations,emphasizing the need for improved observations and model refinement.Valuable insights into regional atmospheric dynamics and model enhancement have been provided through an in-depth analysis of Wuhan meteor radar observation data.
