Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway and HIV infection:Potential links in immune regulation
Wnt信号通路由Wnt配体、受体及其下游信号分子组成,效应传导模式分为经典信号通路和非经典信号通路,在免疫系统中参与调节免疫细胞发育、存活及免疫应答等多种过程.研究发现,经典Wnt/β-catenin信号通路的异常调节与人类免疫缺陷病毒(HIV)感染密切相关,β-catenin进入细胞后,通过其胞核内转录因子T细胞因子(TCF)在调节HIV感染者免疫细胞数量与功能、HIV病毒潜伏再激活、HIV病毒复制及调节细胞铁死亡的过程中发挥重要作用.本文总结了在HIV感染背景下,Wnt/β-catenin信号通路与HIV及铁死亡之间的相关作用机制.
Wnt signaling pathway consists of Wnt ligands,receptors,and their downstream signaling molecules,with signal transduction modes divided into classical and non-classical pathways.It plays a role in various processes within the immune system,including the regulation of immune cell development,survival and immune responses.Research has found that abnormal regulation of classical Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway is closely associated with human immunodeficiency virus(HIV)infection.After β-catenin entering the cell,through its nuclear transcription factor T cell factor(TCF),plays a crucial role in regulating the number and func-tion of immune cells in HIV-infected individuals,HIV viral latency and reactivation,HIV viral replication,and the occurrence of fer-roptosis in cells.This article summarizes the interrelated mechanisms among Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway,ferroptosis and HIV within the context of HIV infection.
