Research on Performance of PAPP-g-VTES Flame-Retardant-Modified EVA Waterproofing Sheets
为开发兼具优异阻燃性能和良好力学性能的无卤阻燃防水板,降低隧道防水板易燃引起安全问题并防治隧道渗漏水病害,以乙烯-醋酸乙烯共聚物改性聚乙烯(EVA/PE)为基体,采用乙烯基三乙氧基硅烷(VTES)接枝改性的焦磷酸哌嗪(PAPP)作为阻燃剂(PAPP-g-VTES),通过熔融共混制备阻燃防水板.系统研究PAPP-g-VTES添加量对复合材料阻燃性能(极限氧指数LOI、垂直燃烧UL-94 等级、锥形量热测试THR/TSR、单体燃烧等级)和力学性能(拉伸强度、断裂伸长率、撕裂强度)的影响.研究结果表明:随着PAPP-g-VTES含量的增加,复合材料的阻燃性能显著提升而力学性能有所降低.当PAPP-g-VTES添加量为 25 wt%时,复合材料的综合性能最佳,LOI达到 29.5%,较未改性复合材料提升 55.3%;UL-94 测试达到V-0 级;总热释放量和总烟释放量较未改性复合材料分别下降 24.3%和 65.2%;单体燃烧性能等级为B1 级;同时复合材料仍保持良好的力学性能,拉伸强度为 17.5 MPa,断裂伸长率达 654%,撕裂强度为 92 kN/m.该研究为开发高性能阻燃防水材料提供重要参考.
This study aims to develop halogen-free flame-retardant waterproofing sheets with both excellent flame retardancy and good mechanical properties,thereby addressing safety risks caused by the flammability of tunnel waterproofing sheets and preventing tunnel seepage and leakage.Ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer modified polyethylene(EVA/PE)was used as the matrix,and vinyltriethoxysilane(VTES)graft-modified piperazine pyrophosphate(PAPP)was employed as the flame retardant(PAPP-g-VTES);flame-retardant waterproofing sheets were prepared by melt blending.The effects of PAPP-g-VTES content on flame-retardant properties(limiting oxygen index(LOI),UL-94 vertical burning rating,cone calorimetry results(THR/TSR),and single burning item classification)and mechanical properties(tensile strength,elongation at break,and tear strength)of the composites were systematically investigated.The results showed that,as the PAPP-g-VTES content increased,the flame-retardant performance of the composites improved significantly,whereas their mechanical properties decreased to some extent.When the PAPP-g-VTES content was 25 wt%,the composite exhibited the best overall performance,with the LOI reaching 29.5%,representing a 55.3%increase compared with the unmodified composite.The UL-94 test achieved a V-0 rating.The total heat release(THR)and total smoke release(TSR)decreased by 24.3%and 65.2%,respectively,compared with the unmodified composite.The single burning performance grade reached B1.Meanwhile,the composite still maintained good mechanical properties,with a tensile strength of 17.5 MPa,an elongation at break of 654%,and a tear strength of 92 kN/m.This study provides an important reference for the development of high-performance flame-retardant waterproofing materials.
