Effective chemical of the ectoparasitic Urceolaria on planarians

涡虫是研究组织再生的优良模式动物,壶形虫(Urceolaria)是一种常见寄生于淡水涡虫体表的纤毛虫,严重影响宿主的运动、摄食、再生及存活能力.为寻求有效的防治方法,本研究以感染寄生虫的狭囊三角涡虫(Dugesia constrictiva)为实验动物,评估了氯化钠(NaCl)、冰乙酸(CH3COOH)和磷酸氢二钠(Na₂HPO4)3种溶液对涡虫体表寄生壶形虫的清除效果.通过半致死浓度测定及清除检测实验,发现与其他处理组相比,0.929~3.716 mmol/L CH3COOH处理2 min可完全清除寄生于涡虫体表的壶形虫且对涡虫造成的影响最小,处理后的涡虫恢复摄食时间最短(3~5 min),而NaCl(96.32 mmol/L)和Na₂HPO4(60.43 mmol/L)虽能清除寄生虫,但对涡虫刺激较强,摄食恢复时间显著延长.结果表明,CH3COOH是一种高效、安全的清除涡虫体表壶形虫的化学处理剂.结合预防性管理措施,该方法可有效控制实验室中壶形虫的传播与危害.

Planarians are excellent model organisms for studies of tissue regeneration.Urceolaria is a com-mon ciliate ectoparasite inhabiting the body surface of freshwater planarians and can severely impair host loco-motion,feeding,regeneration,and survival.To identify effective control strategies,parasite-infected Duge-sia constrictiva were used to evaluate the efficacy of sodium chloride(NaCl),glacial acetic acid(CH₃COOH),and disodium hydrogen phosphate(Na₂HPO4)for parasite removal.Median lethal concentration assays and clearance experiments demonstrated that treatments with 0.929~3.716 mmol/L CH₃COOH for 2 minutes completely eliminated Urceolaria with minimal adverse effects on the host.Planarians treated with CH₃COOH resumed feeding most rapidly(3~5 minutes).Although NaCl(96.32 mmol/L)and Na₂HPO4(60.43 mmol/L)effectively removed parasites,they caused stronger irritation and significantly delayed feed-ing recovery.These results demonstrate that CH₃COOH is an efficient and safe chemical agent for eliminat-ing ectoparasitic Urceolaria from planarians.When combined with preventive management measures,this method can effectively control the spread and harm of Urceolaria in laboratory cultures.
