Changes in Soil Moisture Characteristics of an 18-year-old Alfalfa Grassland Following Cropland Conversion in Southern Ningxia

为探究宁南地区退耕恢复草地土壤水分动态规律及其对降水响应变化,本文以彭阳县王洼镇 18 龄紫花苜蓿(甘农3 号)草地为研究对象,系统分析 0~200 cm 土层土壤含水量动态变化、剖面分布特征及对降水的响应规律.结果表明:2020 年 5~8 月,苜蓿草地 0~200 cm 土层土壤含水量呈持续下降趋势,变化范围为 7.14%~17.18%,0~30 cm表层土壤水分波动最剧烈,10 cm土层变异幅度达 3.19%~21.37%;降水量对 0~30 cm 表层土壤水分影响显著,0~200 cm土层土壤含水量及储水量垂直变化呈"多W"型,土壤含水量随降水量增加呈显著上升趋势.研究可为宁南地区退耕草地植被配置优化及土壤水分管理提供科学依据.

To investigate the dynamics of soil moisture and its response to precipitation in restored grassland following cropland retirement in southern Ningxia,this study systematically analyzed the temporal variation,vertical distribution characteristics,and precipitation response of soil water content in the 0~200 cm soil layer using an 18-year-old alfalfa('gannong no.3 alfalfa')grassland in Wangwa Town,Pengyang County as the research object.The results showed that from May to August 2020,the soil water content in the 0~200 cm layer of the alfalfa grassland exhibited a continuous decreasing trend,ranging from 7.14%to 17.18%.The surface soil layer(0~30 cm)experienced the most pronounced fluctuations,with the 10 cm layer varying between 3.19%and 21.37%.Precipitation significantly influenced soil mois-ture in the 0~30 cm surface layer.Both soil water content and storage in the 0~200 cm profile displayed a"multi-peak W-shaped"vertical pattern,and soil water content increased significantly with increasing precipitation.This study provides a scientific basis for optimizing vegetation allocation and soil water management in restored grasslands in southern Ningxia.
