Experimental Study on Mechanical Behavior of"Loosening and Insect Infestation"Dovetail Joints in Chinese Historic Timber Structures

为研究不同残损类型共同作用下古建木结构榫卯节点力学性能劣化规律,选取"松动+虫蛀"典型残损形式,共设计制作了4个缩尺比为1:3.2的燕尾榫节点试件并进行低周反复荷载试验,包括1个完好试件,3个"松动+虫蛀"不同残损程度的试件.基于试验观察和实测数据整理,分析了试件破坏特征、滞回性能、承载能力及变形性能、刚度及强度变化等力学性能.研究结果表明:随着残损程度的增大,燕尾榫节点的力学性能降低更显著.各试件滞回曲线呈"捏缩"效应,其形状由反"S"形逐渐向"Z"形转变;随着残损程度的增大,残损节点的变形性能及承载力均有不同程度的降低;相比于完好节点,残损节点的承载力下降 18.70%~39.72%,位移延性系数下降 16.26%~31.62%;当转角小于0.025 rad时,各试件刚度退化速度较快,转角大于0.03 rad时,各试件强度退化速度较快.建议实际工程中对于有松动残损的榫卯节点采取必要的加固措施,防止其失稳倒塌破坏.

To investigate the degradation pattern of the mechanical properties of mortise-tenon joints in Chinese historic timber structures under the combined effects of different damage types,the typical damage form of"loosening+insect infestation"was selected.A total of four dovetail joint specimens with a scale ratio of 1:3.2 were designed and fabricated,including one intact specimen and three specimens with different degrees of"loosening+insect infestation"damage.Low-cycle reversed load-ing tests were conducted on these specimens.Based on the test observations and measured data,the mechanical properties of the specimens were analyzed,including failure characteristics,hysteretic be-havior,bearing capacity,deformation performance,and stiffness and strength degradation.The re-sults showed that the mechanical properties of the dovetail joints exhibited more pronounced degrada-tion with an increased degree of damage.All specimens exhibited a"pinching"effect in their hysteretic curves,with the shape gradually transitioning from an inverted-S shape to a Z shape.As the degree of damage increased,the deformation performance and bearing capacity of the damaged joints decreased to varying degrees.Compared with the intact joint,the bearing capacity of the damaged joints de-creased by 18.70%to 39.72%,and the displacement ductility coefficient decreased by 16.26%to 31.62%.When the rotation angle was less than 0.025 rad,the stiffness of each specimen degraded rap-idly;when the rotation angle was greater than 0.03 rad,the strength of each specimen degraded rapid-ly.It is recommended that necessary strengthening measures be implemented for loosening-damaged mortise-tenon joints in engineering practice to prevent instability-induced collapse.
