Characteristics,low-yield causes and improvement of red soil low-yield fields
我国热带、亚热带山、丘、台、岗区域的红壤类土壤(含红壤、黄壤、砖红壤)存在质地黏重、土体紧实、耕层浅、有机质含量少、养分缺乏、酸性强、通透性差、易干旱等缺陷,亟需通过改良破解作物低产困境,实现增产增收与土地高效利用.改良可采取施有机肥料,合理施用化肥,施用石灰,用地养地、合理轮作、间作套种,合理耕作、加速土壤熟化等措施.这些措施实施后能有效改善土壤理化性状,显著提升土壤肥力并促进作物产量增长.该综合改良路径可靠,为红壤低产田肥力的稳步提升、农业增产增效与可持续发展提供有力支撑.
Red soil group soils(including red soil,yellow soil,and latosol)distributed in mountainous,hilly,platform,and mound regions of tropical and subtropical China are characterized by such drawbacks as heavy texture,compact soil structure,shallow plow layer,low organic matter content,nutrient deficiency,strong acidity,poor permeability,and high drought susceptibility.These soil limitations have severely constrained crop yields,thus necessitating urgent soil improvement practices to break the yield bottleneck,boost agricultural productivity and farmers'income,and achieve efficient land utilization.Available amelioration measures include the application of organic fertilizers,rational chemical fertilization,lime amendment,integrated soil utilization and conservation strategies,optimized crop rotation and inter-cropping systems,as well as appropriate tillage practices to accelerate soil maturation.Implementation of these integrated measures can effectively improve the physical and chemical properties of red soils,significantly enhance soil fertility,and promote substantial crop yield increases.This comprehensive soil improvement approach has proven to be scientifi-cally sound and practically feasible,providing robust technical support for the steady fertility enhancement of low-yield red soil fields,sustainable agricultural intensification,and long-term agroecosystem sustainability.
